Message from Fashion Institute Director

Welcome to Marist College and our Pre-College Summer Fashion Institute for high school juniors and seniors. Here you will begin to learn what it takes to become a part of the vibrant fashion industry. The Fashion Program at Marist faculty will guide you through such subjects as "How fashion people think, create and problem solve", "How to sew", "Who's your target customer?", portfolio development, "Understanding trends", and basic garment construction. At Marist, we take fashion seriously. If you do too, there is no better place for you to spend thirteen days of your summer. I invite you to visit our campus, study in our library, work in our fashion and computer labs, and play in our gym - in other words, immerse yourself in all that Marist has to offer.
