Military & Veterans
Welcome to the military community at Marist College!
The transition from military duty, to school study is an exciting, and sometimes scary time. Be assured that you are not alone! Our campus is home to many who served on Active Duty or in the Reserves of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard, and they are here to help make your transition easier. For many, it’s a transition from the infantry to philosophy, from deserts to classrooms, in a very short amount of time. The change of pace and focus can be shocking; the sudden separation from friends can be crippling. We are here to help you every step of the way.
Marist College is an institution that goes to great lengths to welcome service members and veterans. We participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program and we offer a 25% tuition discount for Active Duty personnel, their spouse, and their adult dependents. A current military government ID card is required for proof as well as other documentation for the spouse and dependent showing the relationship. This discount is calculated based on tuition costs only, and it applies only to non-discounted programs. Many of our programs and courses are offered online or in convenient locations to provide flexibility to our students. We have a vibrant chapter of the Student Veterans of America, the Marist Student Veterans Organization, and we are constantly finding new ways to help and support our veteran population.
We look forward to seeing you on campus! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 845-575-3978.
You can also connect with Marist admission advisors at the upcoming Veterans Graduate School Virtual Fair. More than 50 Yellow Ribbon Educational Institutions will come together for this live, online event to provide insight and guidance about how their programs financially support our U.S. Veterans' academic goals.
