Campus Ministry Community Service

Mission Statement

We are people who look to meet real community needs through consistent and meaningful service. We work to encounter those different from us in ideas and backgrounds in hopes of also encountering the presence of God in the world. We hope to build friendships in the spirit of mutual respect and a sharing of values.

Weekly Service

The weekly service program requires a commitment of two hours a week for ten weeks of the semester.  Transportation is provided to most sites via the Campus Ministry shuttle van.  Students who complete this time of service are eligible for priority points.  For more information regarding the weekly service program, including questions about priority points, please send an email to campusministryvolunteers@marist.edu or click on the Fall 2009 Weekly Service Fact Sheet below.

For students interested in signing up for weekly service for the Fall 2009 semester, please download the files below, which include a list of sites, a placement form, a calendar for the semester, and a fact sheet about the weekly service program.  After reading all the information over, please complete the placement form.  All placement forms must be returned to Byrne House or submitted via email to campusministryvolunteers@marist.edu by 5pm on Friday, September 11, 2009.
