Spring 2022 Student Office Hours

Dear Marist students,

Happy new year! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and had a chance to relax over the winter break. We're looking forward to welcoming you back to campus for the spring semester.

When I arrived at Marist in October, I began holding student office hours and found that they were an invaluable way for me to connect with students and hear what’s on your mind.  Some of you just wanted to meet and chat, while others wanted me to know about something that you’re doing or are involved in that makes you proud.  Still others expressed concerns about some element of your Marist experience and/or had suggestions for how Marist can be a better place.  I appreciated every one of these meetings. These conversations help me understand you and your Marist experience better, and position me to provide better service to you as your president.

This is a practice I intend to continue, so I wanted to announce my office hours schedule for the spring 2022 semester:

  • Monday, January 31: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 16: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Friday, March 25: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Monday, April 4: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, May 2: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

As we did in the fall, appointments will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited to 15 minutes each in order to accommodate as many students as possible.  To request an appointment, please send an email to President@marist.edu. In your message, it would be helpful to include the topic you would like to discuss with me. All appointments are in the Greystone building and, as per College policy, face masks are required.

In addition to office hours, I’ll continue to look for other ways to connect with you in both formal and informal settings.  Please say hello when you see me walking across campus, at games and events, or in the dining hall, and I’ll do the same.  I am so impressed with the students at Marist and inspired by each one of you.  Thanks for all you do and have a great spring semester!
