A Marist education is fuel for Loik's global mission.

Inspired to build businesses and relationships, Loik was born in Belgium, raised in Rwanda, graduated high school in Buffalo, NY. Loik’s global upbringing drew him to Marist and sparked aspirations to pursue entrepreneurship as a path to uplift communities back home. He’s a natural connector who bridges relationships through clubs, sports, and creative pursuits like poetry. Loik proves that impact comes in more than one form.

ISS helped me feel comfortable traveling to a new place to learn and answered every question I had. It's good to know that there's a place at Marist with people always available to lend a helping hand and know our struggles and needs.

ISS has been a meaningful guide throughout my time here at Marist, whether it’s navigating through legal documents or planning a club event. They represent a family here to me as they always have our back!

Jumin S.

I am greatly indebted to the ISS for their exemplary efforts in nurturing a vibrant international student community where everyone feels welcomed. Their assistance with paperwork and clarifying doubts significantly eases our college life, and their enlightening cultural festivals introduce us to different customs.

Nishanth B.

I remember coming in as an international student not knowing what to expect to meeting incredible group of people…the community has definitely helped me with direction in a lot of different factors and meeting my fellow international people!
