Our mission is to engage the Marist community in events and activities that highlight diversity and multiculturalism creating a climate of access, equity, and inclusion that celebrates the rich contributions of all cultures, and empower students to achieve academic success by preparing them to become engaged global citizens.
Services
The Center for Multicultural Affairs strives to create a culturally competent environment by:
- Providing programs and activities to assist the Marist student in making a successful and enriching transition to the Marist campus environment.
- Advocating in the interest of the first generation, racial/ethnic or otherwise underrepresented student in areas of personal, social and cultural development.
- Providing opportunities for students to develop academically and socially by providing support in areas of leadership development, cultural identity, self identity, career exploration and goal setting for the future.
- Acting as a resource and support to student groups and culturally focused clubs.
