A Division of Student Academic Affairs
The Center for Multicultural Affairs houses the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), the Foster Youth College Success Initiative (FYSCI), and the Academic Enrichment Program (AEP). The Center operates with the mission of engaging the Marist community through programs and experiences that broaden cultural understanding, foster meaningful connections, and empower students to achieve academic success as engaged global citizens.
Services
The Center for Multicultural Affairs strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment by:
- Providing programs and activities to assist Marist students in making a successful and enriching transition to the Marist campus environment.
- Providing resources, guidance, and support that help students navigate their personal, social, academic, and cultural development.
- Providing opportunities for students to develop academically and socially in areas of leadership development, cultural identity, self identity, career exploration, and goal setting for the future.
- Acting as a resource and support to student groups student organizations and clubs that foster community engagement, cultural awareness, and educational programming.
