There is a responsibility to appropriately use and safeguard the University's property. This includes but is not limited to the campus identification card. Use of another's identification card by unauthorized persons causes a serious breach in the security measures designed to protect all members of the campus community.
Marist Card Services - ID Card Photo Statement
Marist maintains a campus identification (ID) system for the purpose of identification and access to various campus services, programs, and facilities.
All photos in the campus ID system are under the ownership of Marist. By taking your photo ID, you understand and consent that the photo of yourself for your Marist ID card may be kept by Marist and used for educational and other university-related purposes only.
First Year Resident Students
First Year Resident Students will receive their ID card during the residence hall check-in. Transfer, Commuter, and Graduate Students will receive their ID card at check-in or it can be picked up at our office in 51 Fulton. To have your ID card ready for you upon your arrival, we ask that you submit a photo online at myphoto.marist.edu.
New Faculty and Staff
For new Faculty and Staff once they have submitted their signed contract to Human Resources, they can submit their photo to myphoto.marist.edu.
Summer programs, conferences, contractors, and vendors, (those that are not registered students, faculty or staff employees) will receive a unique white card. The contractor or vendor must have their Marist point of contact complete an ID card only form which can be found on myMarist to request a contractor/vendor ID card. Bring the completed request to the Help Desk located in Donnelly Hall and a campus wide ID number will be assigned within 24 hours. Once the Marist point of contact has the campus wide ID number for the contractor or vendor the Card Office will issue the ID card.
If you require access to residence halls, library, gym, etc. you will need to go to The Office of Safety and Security for access. The Card Office is unable to provide door access. For Marist employees requiring access to restricted areas (other than residence halls) please see your supervisor or manager. Building access and Parking Permits are issued by the Office of Safety and Security.
Identification cards are an important part of our campus security program. The ID cards serve many purposes. They permit the use of various services and facilities around campus. They allow access to secure work areas and provide a means of identification as people move about student or restricted access areas. For identity purposes, only students that are registered for classes can receive a valid identification card.
To emphasize the seriousness of the University's commitment to a safe campus and the level of care people should take to keep their identification cards from being used by unauthorized persons, there is a $20.00 replacement fee. This is charged to anyone for the replacement of a lost identification card. ID replacements can be purchased at Card Services in 51 Fulton. We can temporarily de-activate your account until your card is found or replaced. Please email Cardservices@marist.edu with your name and Campus Wide ID (CWID) to have your account de-activated.
Marist Money
Now Marist Money deposits can be made online. You, family, or friends can add Marist Money via a credit card to your student ID card. By clicking Make a Deposit you may make a Marist Money deposit online using your Master, Visa or Discover card. Sorry, Amex is not accepted.
Marist Money is a convenient, prepaid money management account which allows you to enjoy campus wide purchasing power. The advantage to Marist Money is you never need to carry cash, as your student ID card also serves as your Marist Money Card.
Funds in your Marist Money account can be used for purchases in the college bookstore, Marist Mail & Package Solutions Center, the digital publication center (copies, faxes), campus coffee shops, the Cabaret, main dining hall, computer store, college activities (ticket sales, trips), and selected off campus merchants.
Your funds are placed in an account that only your activated Marist College ID card can access. Each time you insert your card into a reader your account balance is decreased by the amount of that sale. The system then informs you of your account balance.
NO CASH WITHDRAWALS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE MARIST MONEY ACCOUNT. MARIST MONEY CANNOT BE USED TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, LOTTERY TICKETS, GIFT CARDS OR GIFT CERTIFICATES.
You may add funds via credit card, in person, over the phone or online. You can make a deposit with a check, money order, or cash. Checks or money orders must be made out to Marist Money. Please include the student's CWID number on the check or money order.
If you have other questions about Marist Money or would like more information, please call Marist Card Services at (845) 575-3550 or email us at cardservices@marist.edu.
You can check your card balance on the My Marist portal.
