Bio
Educational Background:
B.A., Psychology, minor in Media Studies-Digital Video Production - Marist College, 2017
What were you involved with on campus as a student?
I was a member of Ambassadors, Campus Ministry, and Red Ink (craft club). I also worked as a tutor and participated in dance ensemble (and choreographed the Irish dance number in my senior year).
Favorite spot on campus:
The Hancock Cafe! I love getting a cup of Starbucks coffee from Suzanne (who learns everyone's name AND order) and then relaxing by the fireplace.
Favorite Marist tradition:
My favorite Marist tradition is the Giving Tree service in the chapel. I love seeing the whole community come together to give back to those in need and share in the spirit of Christmas.
Favorite Marist memory:
My favorite Marist memory is volunteering for freshman move-in each year! It was always so fun helping the new Red Foxes get all their things moved in for the start of the school year and seeing their excitement about joining our community. It was always my favorite way to start off the semester.
Best advice for the college search:
If you are able, make sure you visit the colleges you are considering! It's the easiest way to tell if a college is a good match for you and your personality. If the school is far away or not possible at the moment with your schedule, virtual tours are also a great way to get a good idea of what the campus is like.
Why did you choose Marist?
I chose Marist because of the caring community. Being from Maine, my dad and I could only find time to visit campus when offices were closed and most students were home on break. As my dad and I were walking around the nearly deserted campus, a security guard stopped and offered to give us a full tour! That small act of kindness showed just how welcoming the campus is and the pride that everyone in the Marist community has about being a Red Fox. Not to mention the campus is beautiful!
What makes Marist special to you?
I love that Marist sets the bar high for the students academically, but the amount of support available to students to help them reach their goal is second to none! No matter where you go on campus you will always find a helping hand and everyone is rooting for your success. This place has truly become my home away from home and I am proud to be a Red Fox for life!
