Bio

Dr. Anne Bertrand-Dewsnap works on seventeenth-century French and Italian paintings and prints.  Her specific areas of scholarship are the paintings of Philippe de Champaigne, the portraits and self-portraits of Simon Vouet, and the prints of Jacques Callot.  She has lectured on 17th-century French and Italian topics in colleges and museums throughout the United States as well as abroad and has received grants from the Andrew Mellon Foundation and the Samuel H. Kress Foundation.
