Bio

Kathy Butsko is an alumna of Marist College who has a unique career history.Ms. Butsko worked nearly 20 years in professional baseball, serving in many capacities for an organization that owns/operates a number of Minor League Baseball (MiLB) franchises in the United States, including Business Manager, Community Relations Director, Merchandising Director, and Vice President/Assistant General Manager.She served as a financial liaison to a number of Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliates, including the New York Mets, the Seattle Mariners, the Texas Rangers, the Florida Marlins, and the Tampa Rays.During her tenure in baseball, Ms. Butsko aided in daily facilities operations, team merchandising and the marketing of sponsorships, advertising and ticket packages, as well as assisting in the opening of new stadium facilities and staff training.She was twice nominated for the Rawlings Executive Woman of the Year, alongside other female baseball executives from both MLB and MiLB.

After a long stint in baseball, Ms. Butsko turned to a career in broadcast radio, serving as Business Manager for several Hudson Valley radio franchises, as human resources manager, and maintaining financial records.

Ms. Butsko has worked at Marist College since 2009, first as an adjunct instructor of communication courses, and most recently as a Visiting Lecturer of Communication.She also serves the College as an Academic Advisor, an instructor of Power Presenting Workshops, and in 2018, Director of the Summer Pre-College Program for Sports Communication.
