Jason Lee

Associate Professor of Operations Management, Chair of the Management Department

Bio

Dr. Lee has doctorate and masters degrees in engineering, business, and science. He has taken advantage of this broad academic background to develop his consulting experience. Before joining Marist, Dr. Lee was a tenured professor of Information & Operations Management at Montclair State University. Given his bilingual skills in English and Mandarin, and his multicultural experience, Dr. Lee has been able to keep himself up-to-date about global matters and cultural dynamics, especially where these are pertinent to business and higher education.

Research Interests/Areas of Focus

Research interests center on the applied area of quantitative modeling and analysis for operations, business decisions, service science and economic engineering design. The recent focus is on service operations and contemporary business issues in global markets.

Research articles can be found in well-regarded journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Service Business, Journal of Scheduling, Journal of Heuristics, Management Decision, Mathematical and Computer Modelling, Engineering Computations, and Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies. Co-authored chapters appear in scholarly books such as Encyclopedia of Information Ethics and Security, Encyclopedia of Data Warehousing and Mining, and Urban Dimensions of Environmental Change: Science, Exposures, Policies and Technologies.
