Hunger Awareness Month
Events to focus on the problem of hunger locally, nationally, and globally
POUGHKEEPSIE (November 1, 2016) – The Marist College community will kick-off its annual Hunger Awareness Month activities tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 2, with the Annual Walk Against Hunger. Participants are asked to bring $3 to contribute toward feeding the hungry in our Poughkeepsie-area community.
Hunger Awareness Month focuses attention and action on the problem of hunger locally, nationally, and globally, with the goal of raising money to help feed the hungry.
The Walk Against Hunger will begin at 12 p.m. in the Champagnat Courtyard. Participants can walk or run a route across campus and through the South Gate, out on to the sidewalks along Route 9 before re-entering campus through the Main Gate and returning to the courtyard.
