Tracey Niemotko, Associate Professor of Accounting

Tracey is an attorney-at-law, certified public accountant, and certified fraud examiner. She is also an accounting educator with extensive professional experience. She remains active with the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), serving on its Board and was recently appointed as one of its representatives on the Governing Council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She has authored several books and articles, and her current research interest in sustainability is reflected in her most recent publication, Sustainability Accounting and Reporting – The Evolution of Management Accountability.

Michael Bell, Professional Lecturer of Business Law

Michael is a native southerner and brand new to the Hudson Valley. He received his B.A. in Economics from Howard University, and his J.D. from Tulane University Law School. Michael also co-founded Tulane Law School’s innovative and highly regarded winter Intersession (Corporate Law) Bootcamp. His legal experience includes White & Case LLP (New York and London, UK) and King & Spalding, LLP (New York), where he worked in Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Debt Finance. His financial experience also includes corporate banking positions at JP Morgan Chase and Credit Lyonnais.

Why Marist?

Dr. Mohammadali Koorank Beheshti, Assistant Professor of Marketing

Mohammadali is a native of Iran, and earned his PhD in Marketing from Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University. He has actively presented his research at international conferences with interests including social media and digital marketing, consumer to consumer interaction, role of empathy in consumer behavior and cross-cultural advertising. Dr. Beheshti teaches diverse marketing courses including Social Media Marketing, Marketing on Internet, Consumer Behavior, Global Marketing and Marketing Policy.

Patrick Gosselin, Assistant Professor of Finance

Originally from Killingworth, Connecticut, but a Dutchess County resident for more than a decade, Patrick joins Marist as an Assistant Professor of Finance. He began his career as an Army officer and deployed to global hot spots on multiple occasions. During the height of the financial crisis, Patrick worked as a financial restructuring advisor where he helped distressed companies recover value for their investors; this included advising the creditors of Lehman Brothers-the largest corporate bankruptcy in U.S. history. 

Why Marist?

“Since moving to New York, I have seen the positive impact Marist makes in my community, and I’m excited to contribute to the Marist community. Teaching and mentoring students gives me a sense of calling I haven’t felt since I was a young Army officer, and I look forward to helping prepare Marist students for impactful careers.”
