Why did you choose Marist College?

I choose Marist because of its strong fashion program and wide variety of class choices as well as strong internship opportunities. Moreover I also choose Marist because it offers a great study abroad program that will allow me to see the world. Lastly I choose Marist College because of its strategic location and its beautiful campus.

What was your favorite class? Why?

My favorite class has to have been Themes In Modern History because the class focused around the Middle East and allowed me to get a better understanding of where I am from and my culture.

What is the best part of living on campus?

The best part of living on campus is that you are connected to everything. It’s really easy to get around and allows you to meet new people every day.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus has to be the cafeteria. The “caf” as we students like to call it is the place where we all meet to catch up with one and other. It’s a place that can be very overwhelming at times because everyone can be there however it’s also a great place to get your mind of things and have a break.

How do you connect with friends and family at home while at Marist?

I keep in contact with my friends over Facebook and with my family over Skype and on the phone.

What kind(s) of extracurricular activities are you involved in?

I am a Marist Ambassador I really love taking part in the Ambassador program as it lets me show others how great of school this really is.

Tell us about a “cultural” moment you had at Marist (culture shock, funny story, etc.).

Coming from a desert, the biggest culture shock was the weather. I am constantly in several sweaters where as my friends wear shorts and a tank top.

What do you do for fun outside of Marist?

I enjoy going to New York City and having a day of shopping and theater with some friends.
