The sensation of being on the Marist campus and being a part of our community is impossible to describe—the only way to experience it is to see it for yourself. And now that you've received your acceptance to Marist, we're here to make your decision process easy and fun. Admitted Student Days are the best way to become exposed to life as a Red Fox and to get a true sense of whether Marist is the right fit for you. If you need some more specific reasons to attend Marist's Admitted Student Days, here are 10 things you'll learn about and experience while you're here:

Even if you have attended a Marist campus tour before, spring in the Hudson Valley and on-campus is unlike anything else. Turn your trip to campus into a weekend and explore the culture, food, and beauty that the Hudson River Valley and our riverfront campus have to offer.

Admitted Student Days provide a plethora of opportunities to get a sense of what your unique academic experience will be like at Marist.

  • Attend one or more sessions from our 6 undergraduate academic schools to see which academic areas could be the right fit for you.
  • Explore the Students Resources Fair to learn about the many offices and academic resources designed to support you throughout your four years on campus.
  • Engage in an informal conversation with one of your future faculty members.

Admitted Student Days allow you to explore all the diverse academic opportunities awaiting you at Marist.

Though you may have met other prospective students during a campus tour and information session, Admitted Student Days provide you the opportunity to meet other students who have been accepted to Marist. These are the people on the same journey as you and could travel with you through the next four years of your life. In fact, nearly 65% of students who attend Admitted Student Days decide to attend Marist as a student, so the odds are overwhelming that you'll meet plenty of your future classmates throughout the weekend.

4. Engage with Current Red Foxes

Once a Red Fox, always a Red Fox. Our current students are so excited to chat with you about the long-lasting bond shared by prospective students, current students, and alumni from Marist. You'll have the opportunity to meet current students through a variety of panels, and formal and informal breakout sessions, and you can ask your questions to learn about the unmistakable feeling of belonging felt by every member of the Red Fox pack.

Being on campus for our Admitted Student Days is a great way to test-drive life on the vibrant Marist campus and see for yourself why our satisfaction rate is so high. Attend a panel on Student Life, eat in our student dining hall, and take some time to explore every nook of campus, either at your leisure or on a student-guided tour!

At Marist, we understand that the transition from high school can be nerve-racking, but we want to make the experience memorable for all our students. We offer numerous resources to enrich your first-year experience, including an in-depth Orientation process, a peer mentor program, and a Welcome Week packed with fun first-year activities. At our Student Resources Fair, you can meet staff from Housing & Residential Life or the Office of First Year Programs. You can also attend a session about the First Year Experience at our Admitted Student Days.

 

9. Stock Up on Red Fox Merch

Admitted Student Days are the best time to stock up on your Red Fox merch! The Marist Bookstore, located in the Rotunda, the Pro Shop, located in the McCann Center, and MPorium, located in the Steel Plant, are all packed with apparel, accessories, and other Marist products. There will be exclusive Admitted Student Days discounts on lots of Marist items. What better way to show off your status as a new member of the Red Fox pack!

One of the most anticipated aspects of our Admitted Student Days is having the opportunity to make your decision official. You can submit your deposit right here on campus and become an official member of the Red Fox Pack. Once you submit your deposit, you can ring the Admission Bell, signaling your exciting decision to join us at Marist. You'll have the opportunity to get your Marist ID card on-site and receive access to exclusive events for enrolled students, such as our Enrolled Student Celebration at the end of each day!
