Arrival Testing

Menu Display

As an additional precautionary measure, Marist College has instituted an arrival testing requirement for all students during the Spring semester. This effort will identify and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the Marist Community.

The schedule for arrival testing is determined by where you are traveling from (e.g. contiguous state, international location, or non-contiguous state), quarantine requirements, and whether you reside off campus. Students should review the information below to understand the requirements for their individual circumstances.

Day of Arrival Testing Instructions

Marist College’s COVID-19 Surveillance Testing Team in conjunction with Health Services and Residential Life will be testing all students from non-contiguous states that need to quarantine upon arrival. The Allied Heath Building will serve as your testing location when you return to campus. Please follow the instructions below for the day of your arrival test.

On the day of testing:

  • Please bring your Marist ID and mobile phone to the testing site. If you do not have a mobile phone with a web browser, you may bring a tablet or laptop.
  • Do not eat, drink (including water), chew gum, smoke, vape, or use smokeless tobacco for 30 minutes prior to test.
  • Do not brush your teeth or use mouthwash for three hours prior to the procedure.
  • Do not appear for testing if you have symptoms of COVID-19, have recently tested positive, or are in quarantine. If any of these situations apply to you, please send a message that you will not appear for testing and the reason to Marist Health Services via email to Health.Services@marist.edu.
