News: take care of your junk folder

Last summer Marist College enabled additional spam and junk filterimng on the campus email platform. This helped keep malicious and bulk email out of inboxes. However, as with any filtering technology, it is not always perfect. It can get better, though, if you help curate your inbox with the following steps:

  • Report messages as Junk - if you get a malicious email or spam message in your inbox, report it as "Junk"
  • Report messages as Not Junk - if you get valid email in your Junk folder, report it as "Not Junk"
  • Tell us if you have email issues - if you know you are missing emails or there are messages always being improperly delivered, make sure to let us know! The email team can assist with resolving the issue permanently.

Thanking for your all your continued help and support. The timely reporting and communication to both Gone Phishing and the Help Desk has contributed significantly to our ongoing efforst to keep Marist College safe from computing threats.
