News: Windows Updates for Marist Issued Computers

Important information for Faculty and Staff

Have you seen this banner pop-up on your Windows machine?  Don't ignore it!

Microsoft regularly releases patches and updates for Windows machines and associated software, such as Internet Explorer.  They are released on what is known as patch Tuesday.  The Marist IT office tests and approves these patches and updates and then pushes them to Marist issued machines for installation.

Occasionally, these updates are considered critical for the safety and security of Marist information, and should be installed as quickly as possible.

When you see this notification, makes sure to either apply the updates immediately, or ensure your machine is on at the sepcified time.

Thank you and remember to always stay cyber smart!
