Prof. Robert J.A. Zito, JD
Bio
Robert J.A. Zito, JD has practiced law for nearly four decades, handling a variety of business, corporate, and securities matters around the country, most recently as a partner with the Wall Street law firm of Carter Ledyard & Milburn, LLP. Bob served as Chair of his firms Financial Institutions Regulatory and Enforcement Practice Group. Bob also served as Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee of a public bank. Bob has acted as counsel and trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies, private business clients, and high profile and high net worth individuals. Bob has extensive trial and appellate experience and is the only defense attorney in the United States to have tried to verdict a securities class action brought under Section 14 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.In 2001, Bob was ordained deacon in The Episcopal Church and is the Canon Church Attorney for the Episcopal Diocese of New York.
