Marist’s Mindset List for the Class of 2025 focuses on the real issues incoming students truly care about, giving them the opportunity to form their opinions about these history-making topics.

As we prepare for the return to campus and start of in-person classes, we are taking this opportunity to share information about an important, mandatory policy that will apply to all students this semester, regardless of vaccination status.

Dr. Kravchuk graduated from SUNY Maritime in 1978 in the first class of female cadets. Now she is molding the next leaders of educators at Marist and was appointed to the SUNY Maritime College Council.

Ian Shultis ’14/’21, completed his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training and proceeded to work toward his doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marist. Ian and his classmates will be the second graduating class in the history of the Marist Doctor of Physical Therapy program this December.

Focused on helping a local business in need, Jacob Ruthazer ’21, with the help of Dr. Helen Rothberg, gathered students across Marist to help a business impacted by COVID-19.

Dr. Weinman, the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer at Amherst College, will become Marist’s fifth president, succeeding long-serving President Dennis J. Murray. He will assume office in early fall.

Mangan will head to Taiwan and McClear will head to South Korea as English Teaching Assistants.

Andy Alongi, Director of Marketing, and Dr. Marisa M. Moore, PhD, Interim Director of Counseling Services, have been named Forty Under 40 honorees by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Six history students guided by Dr. Rosen and Dr. Garabedian translated their classroom education to living history sites with their trip to the American South, where they visited multiple historic sites related to the Black Freedom Struggle.
