Opportunities for Underrepresented Students in Medicine
At Marist, we are dedicated to providing equitable paths toward success in medicine, particular for students who are Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM). This includes our students from racial or ethnic groups underrepresented in medicine and other health professions, from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and those in the first generation of their family to attend college. Partnering with Marist’s Center for Multicultural Affairs, we’ve developed a number of specialized programs to promote success for our URiM students, including the Pre-Health Scholar Cohort for URiM students designed to provide a support network for students who might not have one.
