Padmavati Garvey, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor
Bio
Dr. Garvey is a professor in the Physician Assistant Program at Marist University. She is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist who has practiced for 30 years. She has served as clerkship director for obstetrics and gynecology at Weill-Cornell Medical School and New York Medical College. In addition, she has precepted nurse practitioner students, medical students, and physician’s assistant students in her office. Over the past decade, she has devoted her time and energy gaining expertise in plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine. She is a featured lecturer in Cornell University’s online Plant-Based Nutrition Certification program. Her hope is to educate Marist students on the value of understanding and incorporating lifestyle medicine into their future practice.
