Dr. Powers has served in the Teacher Education Department at Marist College since 2013. She has taught several courses, including EDUC 101 Foundations of Education, EDUC 102 Introduction to Teaching, EPSY 605 Educational Assessment and Evaluation, EDUC 410 Observation and Participation, and EDUC 379 Culturally Responsive Education. As Director of Clinical Teacher Preparation and Certification, she oversees student teaching placements, directs the supervision of student teachers, and assists teaching candidates in meeting New York State’s requirements for certification.
