Jesslyn Hollar

Bio

Dr. Hollar teaches introductory social and educational foundations classes to students interested in becoming teachers. As a teacher educator, Dr. Hollar is interested in exploring how pre-service teachers make sense of the complex work of teaching and learning. Her research interests explore the educational policymaking and the role of ideas, individuals, and institutions in the policymaking process. In particular, she is interested in how educators engage in collective efforts grounded in community and place to shape policy and approaches to teacher education.
