Michael Reisner, LMHC (he/any)
Clinical Counselor - BIPOC Focus
Bio
Mike is a licensed mental health counselor serving as a BIPOC-focused clinical counselor at Marist College. Before coming to Marist, Mike worked for the psychology department of Ulster – Greene ARC serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He later opened a private practice specializing in supporting people for whom dominate culture is not a good fit (i.e., people identifying as BIPOC, LGBTQIAA+, on the autism spectrum, having medical needs or are differently physically-abled). Mike strives to honor peoples’ lived experiences and support them as they share their voice and travel their paths through the world. In the rest of the world he is a Queer Brujx, a physical and digital artist, and a decolonizing former baker who makes the world’s best cookies in between reading weird books and playing indie video games.
