January 15, 2019—Three of Marist College’s online offerings were ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Online Education Program” rankings for 2019.

Marist has long been a proponent of distance learning. The innovative online Bachelor’s degree program in Professional Studies was ranked #49. This program allows adult learners to use previously earned credits and life experience to finish their education. “This program is an absolutely essential one, helping adults to complete degrees to better their employment opportunities and enhance their professional futures,” said Dean Daniel Szpiro.

Two online graduate programs in Marist’s School of Management were also recognized for excellence. The graduate program in business (non-MBA) was ranked #60 and the Master’s in Business Administration moved up to #58 in the MBA category. “We appreciate this recognition, which affirms the rigor and quality of these programs,” noted Management Dean Lawrence Singleton.

To devise its lists, U.S. News considered four general categories: student engagement, student services and technology, faculty credentials and training, and peer reputation. Complete rankings are available at usnews.com

Marist has been a longtime leader in online education. “Marist was an early adopter of distance learning; we’ve offered online courses for well over a decade,” said Sean P. Kaylor, Vice President for Enrollment, Marketing and Communication. “The College is committed to access and the online format benefits working adults by delivering flexible, rigorous, and efficient programs that lead to career-enhancing degrees.”

The College prides itself on flexibility in its offerings to reach students of all backgrounds and life situations. Recognized program highlights include:
