September 2, 2026 — An Apple Authorized Campus Store is coming to Marist this fall as part of the new Tech Commons, a centralized on-campus hub for technology, innovation, and digital learning. It will sell a selection of Mac, iPad, and Apple Watch at education pricing, along with other eligible accessories.

The Campus Store will serve and support all students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Marist University. Located at 51 Fulton, it will open in mid-October along with the Tech Commons, giving the campus community a one-stop destination for Marist technology services, support, and digital innovation initiatives. Marist IT and card services will be housed in the Tech Commons at opening, and Technology Support and a Digital Education Teaching Lab will be added later.

“Bringing an Apple Authorized Campus Store to Marist reflects our commitment to providing students with access to leading technology while creating opportunities for hands-on learning and innovation,” said Marist Vice President of Information Technology Mike Caputo. “Over time, we hope to expand student involvement in store operations, creating valuable real-world experiences managing a tech business.”

Pre-order sales for Apple products are now open. Products that will be available for pre-order include MacBook Air, MacBook Neo, and iPad Pro 11. 

The Tech Commons: A Central Hub for Technology and Experiential Learning
The Campus Store is part of a broader effort to expand technology innovation and experiential learning for the campus community. Operating a student-run, retail store within the Tech Commons would mirror the many other successful student-led operations that already exist on campus, such as Saxbys, Red Fox Financial, MPorium, and North Road Communications. 

These experiences are designed to complement internships, coursework, and other applied learning opportunities, giving Marist graduates an advantage when they head into the workforce. 

The Campus Store will provide convenient access to products, technical assistance, and education savings in a dedicated campus setting for students, faculty, and staff. Currently, the nearest Apple Store is 43 miles from campus. 

The addition of the Apple Authorized Campus Store further strengthens Marist's position as a technology-forward institution and provides students with greater access to the tools they use to learn, create, and innovate.
