What’s New in Brightspace: February 2026 Updates Now Live at Marist

As part of our commitment to supporting an exceptional teaching and learning experience, Marist is pleased to share highlights from the February 2026/20.26.02 Brightspace update.  

The Brightspace release highlights include: 

• Brightspace (generally):  

The sections and groups menus have been redesigned across multiple tools, including Classlist, Grades, Assignments and more. Now, two separate filter menus, one for sections and one for groups, replace the previous combined “view by” menu. 

• Grades:  

Now instructors can now use the navigation arrows on either side of the ‘Enter Grades’ page to navigate across grade columns. 

• Assignments 

Group assignments are now supported when co-marking Assignment submissions 

• Surveys: 

When instructors export survey reports using CSV or Excel options, they now generate in the background. Instructors are notified when the report is available to download, indicated by a dot on the Update Alerts icon on the minibar.
