MEMORANDUM TO THE MARIST COLLEGE COMMUNITY

As you know, there was a horrific mass murder a few days ago at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.  Sadly, acts of hate-inspired violence are all too common and are on the increase.  Jewish Advisor Rabbi Rena Blumenthal, Campus Ministry, and the Diversity Council have graciously offered to lead a nondenominational gathering to honor the memories of those who have been killed and to express our collective desire for and belief in peace and community.  The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. this coming Wednesday, October 31 in Student Center Room 3101.  I hope you can attend.
