Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered assistant embedded across Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Copilot supports everyday academic and administrative workflows by helping users draft and refine emails, summarize long documents or conversations, generate outlines and presentations, and analyze data in spreadsheets.

Copilot works directly within familiar Microsoft tools, allowing users to complete tasks more efficiently without switching platforms. It can surface relevant information from files, meetings, and communications, helping users stay organized, focused, and productive throughout the day.

When accessed using Marist credentials, Microsoft Copilot operates with enterprise-level security and privacy protections.
This enterprise protection helps ensure that university data remains secure and is not used to train public AI models. Recent enhancements to Copilot have also improved its ability to understand context across documents and conversations, reducing repetitive tasks, and supporting effective information management across the university.
