April 17, 2023 — Residential life is an integral part of the college experience, and The Princeton Review has given high marks to Marist in several areas, including top-ranked dorms and overall quality of student life. It’s no wonder why current students are eager to grab their top housing option in the upcoming housing selection process and alumni often reminisce about their favorite place to live on campus when they were students.

According to a student survey in The Princeton Review’s guide for the Best 388 Colleges for 2023, Marist ranked in the top 10 in the nation and top three among all schools in the Northeast for best dorms. The ranking is based on students’ answers to the survey question, “How do you rate residence halls/on-campus housing?"

As a primarily residential campus, the College provides housing for over 3,300 undergraduate students in corridor, suite, apartment, and townhouse-style residences. A priority point system is used to assign points to students based on their academic average, involvement with extra-curricular activities, disciplinary history, and condition of their residence area.

The quality of residential living enriches the student experience and fosters an encouraging environment to learn and grow. Rankings show that Marist is not just a place to study and to work, but is truly a "home away from home."

The same Princeton Review guide to best colleges also ranked Marist among the Top 25 in the nation for happiness of its students and students' love of their college.
