Tim Murray
Director of Athletics
Bio
Tim Murray has been the Director of Athletics at Marist College since 1995. He is the fourth-longest serving AD in Division I and currently oversees a department of 650 Division I athletes, 23 varsity programs, 19 club sports, four fitness centers, a comprehensive intramural program, and the general recreation program. During his tenure, Murray has helped guide Marist to a conference-record 117 Metro Atlantic Athletic championships. The Red Foxes hold the conference’s record for overall (12) and total (31) Commissioner’s Cup, which is awarded as a symbol of overall excellence in athletics. In addition, under Murray’s leadership, the Red Foxes have been committed to academic achievement, as Marist has led the MAAC in selections to the Academic Honor Roll for 22 consecutive years.
A native of Bridgewater, New Jersey, Murray and his wife, Barbara, make their home in Poughkeepsie and have two daughters, both Marist graduates, Katherine '19M and Lauren '21, and a son, Owen.
