What were you involved with on campus as a student?

Getting involved at Marist was easy and rewarding. It’s the best way to continue with your interests and discover new ones while developing skills and leadership positions to add to your resume. During my time as an undergrad I was involved in:

  • Community Volunteering
  • Intramural Sports
  • Co-hosted a radio show
  • Co-hosted the campus news television show
  • Tour guide
  • Orientation Leader
  • Marist College Council on Theatre Arts
  • Internship program
  • Study Abroad
  • Resident Assistant
  • Admission Office Student Worker
  • Study Abroad Office Student Worker

Favorite spot on campus:

Its hard to pick my favorite spot on campus as an undergraduate. Almost any spot where I had a nice view of the river was great. I love the scenic views of this campus, there are large open spaces and small quaint spaces to relax, talk with friends, and study.

Favorite Marist tradition:

Looking back, my favorite Marist tradition was jumping into the Hudson. This is definitely not for everyone because the river can be treacherous. My second favorite tradition, or rather folklore, is jinxing your chances to graduate by stepping on the Marist seal in the Rotunda.

Favorite Marist memory:

My favorite Marist memory is another difficult answer because I have accumulated so many during my time. Memories of hanging out with friends into the late hours of the night having conversations about life and sharing our experiences happened regularly. I have fond memories of staff and faculty encouraging me to explore leadership positions or taking a different approach to an academic challenge. My memories of living abroad will be with me forever. So many great memories!

Best advice for the college search:

If you are putting in the work and taking time to reflect on your decision-making process, you will end up at the right school for you.

Why did you choose Marist?

I chose Marist for different reasons at each stage of the process. I chose to apply to Marist because the College had the major I wanted and the clubs and organizations, I was interested in and the opportunity to study abroad and intern. I chose to enroll because of my tour and my interaction with staff and faculty that made me feel welcomed and appreciated

What makes Marist special to you?

Marist is a special place because the education, experiences, and the relationships you build will transcend your four years. I am proud to be a Red Fox and part of the Red Fox Family
