Bio

Juan-Manuel Olivera-Silvera graduated from L ’ École Supérieure Des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, France, one of the major and most reputable European establishments in the teaching of art methods and decorative arts. Renowned for its cross-disciplinary approach and innovation, Duperré allowed Juan-Manuel to become skilled in multiple aspect of design, such as fashion, textile, industrial and graphic, as well as expanding his talents in the fields of fine art disciplines.

In Paris, JM had the privilege to work with such prestigious firms as the House of Courréges, Carven Haute-Couture, and Popy Moreni and their illustrious founders.

In New York, his career in fields of fashion include working at Vivienne Tam, Liz Claiborne, Kenneth Cole, Overtsock.com, The Doneger Group, and Ugo Luxury. Those opportunities allowed him to work as a Creative Director and Director of Merchandising in Europe, North America, and Asia, where the five languages he speaks were invaluable assets. Along the way, he exhibited his art in New York Gallery and launched his own collection and e-commerce.

A Professional Lecturer in Marists Fashion Department, JM teaches fashion design and related promotion courses, continuing his passion for the arts, fashion, and design in all its forms.
