Patrick Boylan
Professional Lecturer of Fashion Design
Bio
Patrick Boylan brings over thirteen years of experience as a design educator to his role as Professional Lecturer of Fashion Design at Marist. Patrick has been a design faculty member at Parsons School of Design and his alma mater, the Fashion Institute of Technology where he also earned a master’s degree in Global Fashion Management. On the global stage he has been a visiting professor at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University in China for the past eight years and has mentored fashion students from universities in Taiwan, Argentina, and Chile. Patrick’s fashion industry and diverse entrepreneurial experiences demonstrate how design education can be adaptable, fluid, and marketable. He sees his role as not just teaching the fundamentals of design but mentoring students on how to connect the dots towards a viable future in the ever-changing world of fashion and beyond.
