Steven L. Dana

Associate Professor of Digital Media

Bio

Steven Dana is a professor of digital media and graphic design with a background in design, illustration, and painting.  For more than three decades he has been creating art for the pages of some of the most influential newspapers and magazines, including The New Yorker, The New York Times, Harper's, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Courrier International. Professor Dana has created cover art for CD's including a cover for the iconic Rock group YES and has numerous book covers to his credit including his collage/painting for President Obama's book, DREAMS FROM MY FATHER.

With years of exploration of art-making processes in his own practice as well as in the classroom, Professor Dana continues to share new ways of thinking and seeing with his students, encouraging them to find their own voices and produce works that will have a positive and impactful presence in our communities.
