Duy Nguyen

Associate Professor of Mathematics

Bio

Duy Nguyen works in the Department of Mathematics at Marist University, where he teaches mathematics, statistics, and data science courses. He enjoys the collaborative atmosphere of his department and the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects. His research focuses on applied probability and statistics, particularly using stochastic optimization theories to solve various problems in statistics, and optimization. Immersed in MATLAB and Python, he finds joy in crafting elegant code that turns complex problems into simple solutions. When not working, he likes to spend time with his family.
