Small Classes, Big Opportunities: Inside the Marist DPT Experience

The Marist Doctorate of Physical Therapy program prepares graduates for successful careers with 32 months of didactic and clinical work starting each January. With small class sizes and a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio, students receive personalized attention from expert faculty. At Marist, we’re invested in your future as a physical therapist. That’s why we’ve developed top-of-the-line facilities in our Science and Allied Health building, fortified with cutting-edge technology that will ensure your practical experience is in line with tools you’ll use in the field. This includes our Physical Therapy Skills Lab, Gross Anatomy Lab, Movement Analysis Lab, and suite of trauma, surgery, and exam room simulation labs.

A Service-Oriented Physical Therapy Program

At Marist, one of our key pillars is our commitment to service, and we integrate this commitment into every academic program we offer. Many of our students focus their doctoral projects on service, looking at unmet needs in the community, or education, teaching about physical and health-related topics to different audiences. Our students have opportunities to participate in Parkinson's Disease Stretch Clinics and Exercise Groups for Patients with Cognitive Loss.
