To advance the three pillars of Marist 100, academic vibrancy, student centrality, and expansive community, a reconstituted Retention Committee is proposed with the goals of:
- generating deep insights into the factors influencing first-year retention;
- designing an institution-specific strategy for enhancing first-year retention, grounded in the field's best practices.
This committee will address disparities in student success that may be due to demographic traits or intersectional identities, with the long-term goal of enhancing educational outcomes overall. The reconstituted Retention Committee is specifically charged with understanding factors related to first-year retention and developing policy and practice to enhance student success through coordinated and integrated support.
