Please review the following Cybersecurity Awareness and Education resources:

USB Drop Awareness
  • Never plug in a random USB drive
  • Plugging in an unknown USB drive could allow malicious software to steal personal or institutional data, install malware, and give attackers a backdoor into systems

How to Spot a Suspicious USB Situation:
  • You find the USB in a public place such as a parking lot, classroom, cafe, or a hallway
  • The USB is unmarked or vaguely labeled
  • You are unsure where the USB came from

If you find a suspicious USB:
  • Do NOT plug it into a machine
  • Turn the USB drive into the Marist Help Desk or the Cybersecurity Team
  • Let others know to spread awareness
