Nathan Lee, CFA 

Professional Lecturer of Finance

Bio

Mr. Lee has extensive experience in institutional asset management and has advised and managed active equity portfolios for multinational banking and insurance corporations, hedge fund startups, and a major public pension plan. He has served in key capacities as a lead portfolio manager, risk manager, quantitative analyst and researcher.  Mr. Lee has designed, developed, and implemented investment and risk management processes for multi-billion dollar portfolios and institutional clients. His technical contributions include deploying technology to assist and automate portfolio construction and risk analysis, building models for quantitative equity selection and tactical asset allocation, and creating bespoke hedging solutions. Mr. Lee also has many years of experience leading and conducting investment manager research and due diligence and oversaw a multi-billion dollar portfolio of externally managed assets that has outperformed its benchmark long-term, while remaining within its liquidity and risk limits. 

In addition to his investment responsibilities, Mr. Lee has also held leadership roles where he supported governance decisions on technology adoption, post-merger integration, investment policy, asset allocation and strategic planning. In these roles, he has also had to build out investment teams, and mentor and train new hires and early career staff. 

Mr. Lee is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.
