Professional Studies Background
Build Your Degree to Fit Your Schedule
Online Courses (4-week and 8-week)
Online courses are asynchronous in design which provides more flexibility for students. Courses are hosted on a software platform (Brightspace) that allows for ease of interaction with professors and classmates.
On-ground Courses (15-week)
In-person classes are available on our Poughkeepsie, NY campus. A range of class times during the day and in the evening from Monday through Friday are designed to accommodate the schedule of a working adult.
Hybrid Courses
Hybrid courses meet at the Poughkeepsie, NY campus every other week for a total of 4 out of the 8 weeks of class, combined with online work. This option provides the best of both worlds – synchronous and asynchronous components at the course level.
Blended Schedule
Combine online and on-ground formats for your classes in the 4-, 8-, and 15-week calendars as needed for scheduling and access to specific courses.

The Professional Studies/MPA dual degree option allows students to earn 12 credits towards their MPA as part of their Bachelor’s degree completion. This reduces the number of credits needed after your bachelor’s degree to earn your Master’s degree, saving you time and money in earning both degrees.
