Yifeng Huo 

Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Bio

Dr. Huo is an assistant professor of chemistry at Marist University, and his primary teaching responsibilities are in general chemistry. Before joining Marist in 2026, he spent several wonderful years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of South Dakota, and as a visiting assistant professor at Siena University and Swarthmore College. As an educator, he loves working with students, and he has served as an instructor of introductory chemistry, general chemistry, analytical chemistry, and chemistry games. As a researcher, he received training in materials engineering and materials chemistry, and he is particularly interested in nanoparticles. Outside of the classroom and laboratory, he enjoys spending time with his family, taking road trips, and collecting stamps from national parks and state capitols.
