Bio:
Dr. Gatins worked in residential treatment settings with adolescents for ten years before teaching at the college level. She teaches courses at both an undergraduate and graduate level and is considered an expert in adolescent development. She has been a full time member of the Marist faculty since 1999.

Miscellaneous:
Dr. Gatins has been a consultant for Human Relations Media since 1992. She helps develop videos for middle school and high school classrooms on topics related to adolescent health issues such as substance abuse, eating disorders, relationships, communication skills, self-esteem and stress. Since 1992, she has contributed to the production of 25 video projects as a writer, a creative collaborator, in developing teachers' guides and/or as an on-camera expert.
