Frequently Asked Questions
Orientation Leaders, known as OLs, are student leaders who are training to help introduce new members of the Marist community to the various programs, services, and opportunities that make a Marist education
While there is no set list of traits that combine to make the perfect OL, there are some qualities we do look for: hard-working, outgoing, a leader, team player, positive, energetic, and most of all, dedicated to the Marist Red Fox Spirit!
All undergraduate students in good standing are invited to apply to be an OL. The submitted student profile of each candidate is reviewed individually to determine whether they fit with the current Orientation team.
Orientation Leaders are paid bi-weekly throughout the duration of the summer Orientation program.
No, although international students are welcome to apply to be Orientation Leaders for First Year Experience, there is a separate, unique International Student Orientation run through the International Student Services. Please reach out to the International Student Services office with any questions about International Student Orientation.
