Marist to Host Free Cyber Security Summit Jan. 11

January 9, 2023 – Marist College will host a variety of industry experts in cyber security this week as The Dutchess County Office of Central and Information Services (OCIS) holds its second Hudson Valley Cyber Security Summit. The event takes place Wednesday, January 11 at the Murray Student Center and is sponsored by Marist.

The Summit is geared to help municipal leaders, school districts and higher education administration, fire and police agencies, and IT professionals be better prepared against cyber threats. Cyber security attacks impact communities across the nation and breaches can prove costly. Staying ahead of current threats can make a significant difference when protecting sensitive data.

At the summit, industry experts will discuss topics such as the current cyber threat landscape, survival tactics for municipalities, modernizing a cybersecurity approach and the latest tools and resources available to improve cyber readiness.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and is free to attend. Registration and a complimentary networking breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. Registration is required in advance and is available at DutchessNY.gov/CyberSummit.
