November 4, 2025 — Campus buzzed with activity October 24–26 as hundreds of Marist alumni and their families returned for the University’s annual Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. Across the two days of shared memories and gatherings, Red Foxes from across generations filled campus with energy and pride—reconnecting, reminiscing, and celebrating the Marist community that always feels like home.
“They say college is four years, but Marist is forever,” said Shamus Barnes '91. “It’s so great to be back.”
Celebrating Alumni Achievement
The weekend once again shone a spotlight on Marist graduates whose professional accomplishments and service exemplify the Red Fox spirit. Trustee Ross Mauri '80, Jack Oehm '80, Katelyn Gallanty '15, and Bradley Mobeck '20 were recognized with Alumni Association Awards during the Homecoming football game for their outstanding leadership, service, and contributions to the Marist community.
"Marist gave me the skills and values to lead with purpose,” said Mauri. “This honor is a celebration not just of my journey, but of the ongoing spirit of collaboration and service that defines the Red Fox family.”

Theatre Hall of Fame Honors
An additional highlight of Saturday’s schedule was the Theatre Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which recognized seven alumni and faculty members for their achievements and lasting influence on Marist Theatre. This year’s inductees—Beth Marshdoyle '75, Lisa M. (McCarroll) King '75, Peter C. McFadden '80, Yolanda L. Robano '90, Richard M. Cocchiara '95, Shelly L. Napoli-Yapchanyk '00, and Marissa L. Russo '15—were celebrated during a special ceremony in the Nelly Goletti Theatre, surrounded by classmates, faculty, and students.
Alumnus Jim Joseph '91 attended the event and was excited to share his enthusiasm for Marist’s theatre program. “I love coming back to Marist for Homecoming,” he said. “I get to reconnect with a lot of my former classmates and it’s always a highlight to meet other students who are part of this incredible program.”
