August 19, 2025 — Marist has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s premier universities in the nation by Money.

The personal finance publication’s comprehensive ranking consists of an analysis of more than 700 four-year institutions across the country, and evaluates their ability to deliver educational value through quality academics, affordability, and strong outcomes after graduation.

The consistent recognition by Money stems from distinguishing factors such as strong graduation rates, and post-graduation employment. 86% of Marist students participate in at least one credit-bearing internship while 94% of graduates are employed or pursuing advanced degrees within six months of graduation.

The Money ranking also highlights Marist's academic breadth and depth, with more than 90 programs of study rooted in the liberal arts tradition while incorporating extensive professional training through hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. This combination of theoretical foundation and practical application directly contributes to the strong employment outcomes that factor prominently in the ranking methodology.

The affordability component of the recognition reflects Marist's commitment to accessibility. Ninety percent of students receive financial assistance, and innovative programs like the Presidential Fund for Equity in the Marist Experience support experiential learning opportunities, including internships and study abroad programs. These initiatives ensure that transformative educational experiences remain available to students regardless of their financial circumstances.

All of these aspects of the Marist experience align with the Marist 100 strategic plan for the future of the University, consisting of three main pillars for institutional success: Academic Vibrancy, Expansive Community, and Student Centrality.
