What’s New in Zoom: February 2026 Now Live at Marist

Zoom Recent Updates (Feb 2026): Recent Zoom Workplace updates (early 2026) focus on improved Team Chat sidebar customization, allowing drag-and-drop, multi-row tab wrapping, and "mark all as read" functionality. Key enhancements include AI-powered meeting summaries, a new "Zoom Hub" for file access, and improved virtual background selection for web users. 

  • Zoom Web App Improvements:  
     
  • Virtual background selection in the waiting room and resizable AI Companion side panels.  
  • New security icons distinguish between standard, hybrid, and private mode meetings. 
  • Windows Dark Mode: Improved contrast for chat fonts. 
  •  Sidebar Enhancements: Pinned tabs can now be reordered via drag-and-drop and wrap into multiple rows, preventing hidden items in the sidebar. 
     
  •  Zoom Hub:  
     
  • A central location (desktop/web) to access recordings and AI Companion summaries. 
     
  • Team Chats:  
     
  • A "Mark all as read" option is added to the right-click context menu. 
     
  • Updating the Zoom App: 
     
  • Manual: Click your profile picture -> "Check for Updates". 
  • Automatic: In Settings -> General, enable "Update app automatically
