The Study Abroad Fair drew a packed crowd of students eager to explore more than 70 programs, with opportunities ranging from domestic cities like Seattle to international destinations such as Florence and South Korea. Attendees heard firsthand from peers about their time abroad, sampled food from around the world, filled bags with free study-abroad merchandise, and met with faculty leading upcoming short-term attachment programs. Droves of students gathered on the grass for Goat Yoga, hosted by Ridge Ranch and Marist Student Programming Council. The family-owned ranch brought nine gentle goats that roamed among the students as they held an overhead pose (Urdhva Hastasana) with arms lifted and palms pressed together. Ranch owner Arielle Honovich held her curious toddler while her mom, certified yoga instructor Rona Levine, guided the group through a peaceful outdoor flow filled with smiles and calm energy.

Marist Student Government Association teamed up with Incredible Pups Rescue to help students destress around midterms. The event presented four playful black lab mixes named Frankenstine, Pennywise, Krueger, and Clarisa, all ready for adoption just in time for spooky season! Students also hosted an autumn-themed bake sale to raise money for the animal rescue and promote adoption of local furry friends.

Their article, “A Call for Inclusion: The Impact of Ethnic Identity Addressivity in Shaping Future Educators,” explores the importance of inclusivity, representation, and personal voice within education. Drawing on Jazmin’s own experiences and testimonies alongside academic research, the piece highlights how ethnic identity shapes the classroom and future of teaching. For Jazmin, the project blended her passions of education and creative writing, while also marking her first academic publication.

On September 25, Marist hosted the 2025 Handel-Krom Lecture in Hudson River Valley History. This year’s event, titled "Back to the Land: Connecting the Hudson River Valley's Agrarian Past and Farming Future," featured renowned photographer Pieter Estersohn. Estersohn explored how the Hudson River Valley's rich agricultural heritage continues to shape modern farming practices, and highlighted how both multi-generational farmers and newcomers to agriculture blend traditional methods with innovative technologies to reimagine sustainable living off the land. The event was presented by The Hudson River Valley Institute and hosted by Marist's Office of Alumni Relations. Click the image above to learn more and to watch the lecture.
